Share your family’s story on BC Children’s Hospital Miracle Weekend!

miracle weekend

BC Children’s Hospital Miracle Weekend is coming up on June 1 & 2. Hosted by Global BC TV, the telethon raises both money and awareness of the services at BC Children’s Hospital.

The organizers of the event need your help to make it a success! They are working with the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation to produce vignettes to air during the Miracle Weekend Telethon. Each year, teams head out into different communities to film families who share their stories about their experience at BC Children’s Hospital. These wonderful stories help the audience understand the scope of care the hospital provides and the tremendous impact the hospital has on thousands of lives.

If your family has a story to share or you know a family who you think might be interested in sharing their story, we would love to hear about it!

What the organizers need from the families:

  • Live in the Fraser Valley, Vanderhoof, Kelowna, and Victoria — or locations close to these places
  • A story related to Children’s Hospital
  • Willing to appear in a 2-3 minute on-camera interview, to air during the Miracle Weekend Telethon.
  • About 45 minutes of time to give on a designated place and day of filming (actual days for interviews are still TBC)

Participating families will receive a copy of their interview as it appears during the telethon broadcast.

If you are interested in participating or would like more information, please let us know via our contact page!  If you aren’t available for an interview or don’t live in the regions listed, you can always help by sharing your story on the Miracle Weekend website!
