Main lobby washrooms at BC Children’s Hospital are closed

washroom signThe three washrooms next to the main elevator bank in the lobby have been closed to make way for the new Orthopedic Clinic.

  • a wheelchair accessible washroom is off the hallway near the Hematology and Oncology Clinic
  • The adolescent change table is now in the accessible washroom in the hallway near the Respiratory Clinics.

Ronald McDonald House Construction Closes 56 Parking Stalls

Fifty-six parking stalls have been closed off for construction of Ronald McDonald House and the Wellness Walkway, near Brock Fahrni and the construction site, along the Ring Road.

Avoid using the Main Lobby entrance by Emergency

Please avoid getting picked up/dropped off near emergency if you are going to the BC Children’s main lobby. The area must remain clear for emergency vehicles. Parking in the area is short-term and very limited, so please leave it for people accessing the Emergency Department. Families are encouraged to use the free valet service, or to use the entrance off of Oak Street (by Second Cup)  or the North Entrance (#17).

BC Children’s Hospital information desk has moved
The information desk is now beside patient registration in the main lobby of the hospital.

Construction in ongoing in the underground parkade
Construction is underway in the underground parkade beneath the BC Children’s Hospital main building. Drive carefully and watch for signage.

Site construction limits available parking on campus.
Please allow extra time when coming to your appointment. Watch for new signage and follow directions of flag persons.

Please drive slowly 
Traffic patterns are constantly changing for both vehicles and pedestrians. Pedestrians may be hidden from view.
