BC Children’s Hospital welcomes Beryl Young

As a part of the Storytime Program, BCCH Family Support & Resource Centre and CWILL.BC are proud to present children’s author Beryl Young.

Who can attend: all BC Children’s Hospital in-patients and out-patients and their families.
*Note: please do not attend if your child has signs of cold or flu (coughing, sneezing, runny noses, fever, etc.)

Beryl Young

Beryl Young is the author of poems, stories and radio talks, the producer of music records for babies as well as the author of three children’s books. Her first fiction book Wishing Star Summer (2001) was on B.C. best-seller lists and received many award nominations. It was followed by Charlie: a Home Child’s Life in Canada (2009) and Follow the Elephant (2010). Her latest book Would Someone Please Answer the Parrot! (2013), tells the story of twin seven-year-old who are given a talking parrot named Guapo. Hilarious antics ensue. Beryl lives in Vancouver and has three children and four grandchildren.
