The BC Children’s Hospital and Sunny Hill Health Centre Patient and Family Centred Care Learning Centre provides education for staff and the community:
Collaboration-Please Pass the Salt
This is a fun, interactive one to two hour education presentation given by two patients or family partner members or The Partnes in Care Family Liaison and another family partner. The meaning of patient and family centred care versus family focused care is clarified and participants are given practical application on how to practice family centred care on the front line, in family education and policy making. Participants are also helped to understand their own style of communication and how this relates to family centred care. This presentation is ideal for front-line staff. Please note: Partners in Care is training new members to participate in this presentation so our schedule for the fall of 2012 is limited.
Patient & Family Centred Care in Pratice-The Family Perspective
